Crazy

Crazy.

That’s a word you are not supposed to use anymore, or at least if it means that, meaning crazy, well one of so many.

So what happens when a crazy man born in Beaumont, Texas, living in Houston, decides to announce his found lunacy by driving a truck into a crowd in New Orleans where he kills 15 people and injures two score and more?

Well before he knows crap, Trump says it is an illegal person from Mexico who did that. Nope Donald, he was born in Beaumont, Tex. and did something you never did, served in the U.S. Army.

So, we got and get non-stop stupid television with everyone a TV producer can dig up to comment. We get the same old same old same old experts declaring this to be, has to be, must be part of an international plot.

Except it isn’t and if you are not an expert who gets paid by TV to to see it is and be on TV every day at a high fee to say it is, then you know, you knew instantly it was a crazy, angry guy with a truck. No international plot, a truck.

It was one guy with a bad story and a truck.

Isis? Leave that to the experts who see Isis under the rug.

You can buy the Isis flag on line. You can buy anything on line. Just one of the reasons this is a worse world than ever. But no, this was one guy with a bad story. And a truck.

The experts have come up with a new word for this. They call it “inspired.”terrorism, action, crime. Get used to hearing it, a lot, from them. But, they are not talking about people inpired by noble thoughts.

They are talking about people looking for a cause to inspire a lone person attack for, or against and violently because they are failures and failure has made them sick. They have it misplaced as usual. It is not about, was not about inspiraton. It was about a truck and the madman driving it.

But the experts and their friends on the blathering TV desks are still at it and will go on for days telling us something that didn’t happen did, or might have or could have. Nothing fills a void like television and television mostly fills the void.

In a smiliar vein:

“The Bronx is up and the Battery’s down and the people all ride in a hole in the ground.”

Because they have the subways of New York,, the largest subway system in the world and still the best, fastest, least costly way to navigate the great city.

But then a homeless crazy man gets on a train car at Coney Island, sees a homeless woman taking advantage of some shut eye because the subways never shut down and it’s a 90 minute trip from “up”, the Bronx, to down,”the Battery”, and on to Coney Island at the end of the line.

Time enough for her to sleep, ride back, sleep some more. If you don’t have a bed, it could be worse even.

Bur he does what? He sets her on fire and she dies a nightmare death. Why did he do that? Well, maybe because he is crazy?

A week later another homeless man sees a man looking at his cell phone while standing on the plaform of the 7th Avenue subway at the 18th St. local stop waiting for the No. 1 line train (been there often enough).

What does he do? He shoves the man onto the tracks. The man is saved but suffers eggregious injury.

A year or so before another man named Daniel Penny accidentally or on purpose (take your pick, the judry did) chokes a man to death in response to that homeless man acting out and distrubing a car of subway riders who want only to get from here to there.

He is tried to a hung jury on one charge then acquital on a second.

He doesn’t go to jail. He goes to the Army-Navy Game as Trump’s guest.

Why did Penny get discharged and acquitted?

Because anyone who rides the New York subways can tell you if you put 12 New York subway riders (and remember to serve on a Manhattan jury you have to be a Manhattan resident) – if you put these questions to 12 New Yorkers who ride subways, who have experienced “show time” and a lot worse, you will get the same verdict from them in that or any like case, every tine.

You will get at most a hung jury and just as likely an acquittal.

So?

But ok, what is the cause of these otherwiwse disconnected random incidents in New Orleans, in New York, on its subways and across and around the country every day because similar incident are and have been happening so very often?

Why does this country go nuts, spend millions, have every supposed expert crying international terrorism when but one obviously nuts guy decides to announce his lunacy by killing a bunch of people?

Same thing with those subway crimes and so many others in other places on other days..

Will we do again what society used to do with crazy people and warehouse them in places no one wants to see or think about?

Then, no one gets killed on subways, we don’t have to cross the street to avoid a bad corner, we won’t worry about being on Bourbon Street at 3 .m. (if we are there at that time of day perhaps we should be worried about other things.)

But then, what would Cable TV News do all day, much less on a holiday? And how would all its special, super duper, former this and former that police and security experts earn a living? No matter they are and will the next time go on yapping and yammering about – subways, trucks, rooftops, Isis.

It’s not complicated, unless you want it to be. This can all be traced, connected and demonstrated to be a result of the political, social, medica,l and general societal movement from the late 1970s to the present to empty the public mental hospitals.

That got us what? A drug epidemic among the former patients who becaiuse they are crazy don’t want to be on meds, live on the streets and do the bad things that make for non-stop cable television. Not all of them, certainly probably not most of them except to disturb the rhythms of life out in the world.

But then, when these bad things happen, well…

We did that. We added to emptying institutions, illegal drugs, drugs to treat illegal drugs, judicial intervention, more drugs, vast social service networks and we got what?

A world in whch mentally ill people do these things out in the world where they can be seen because they are not locked away where we can’t see them and don’t have to think about them.

After all, who wants to see or think about them? Right, no one does except perhaps their families and friends.

Guess what? They are going to keep doing these things, not even knowing or caring that it will get them on television, which it will and where they’ll be the talk of all the experts.

Crazy isn’t it.
