Read the polls and the polls tell a tale. Everything I said last week? Accurate at the moment.
Then came this foul Kavanaugh adventure. Now? Impact reflected in polls? Changed. Everything in flux.
When will it begin to resolve? In 20 days, 10 days out from the election. My guess? Well, yes, I have one, but want to watch the polls and hear the chatter to see how it begins to resolve.
The difference from last week in exact terms? The Senate is back in flux where it was moving clearly in one direction. The House is flipping — the margin is in flux. Governorships? Six change from red to blue. Eight or more? In the winds. Legislative chamber gains, dropping from high of 20 to 10 to 14.
These things change. They have. They will again. Political whims are more immediate and current than ever before, riding on the winds and tides of events and social media.
We shall see. Still a very blue year. At issue? How blue.
How blue? If (more likely, when) K is seated, midnight for the house, white to robin’s egg for the Senate.
